THE REASON I ASK IS CUZ I SEE CUSTOMERS COMPLAIN EVERYDAY AT MY JOB. I WORK FOR A CORP. WIRELESS CELL PHONE PROVIDER…..1) WE DONT MAKE THE PHNS!!! SAMSUNG, LG, PALM ETC. MAKE THE PHNS!!! SO IF YOU DONT BUY INSURANCE AND YOU LOSE IT OR IT GETS DAMAGED DO GET MAD AT US BECAUSE YOU NOW HAVE TO PAY THE REGULAR PRICE FOR THE PHN
2) I AM TIRED OF HEARING ” I BEEN WITH YOU GUYS FOR 6, 8, 10, AND SOMETIMES 20 YEARS I AM A LOYAL CUSTOMER I PAY MY BILL EVRY MTH ON TIME!” YOU’RE SPPSE TO PAY YOUR BILL ON TIME! I BEEN SHOPPING AT WAL MART FOR YEARS BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN I’M SUPPOSE TO GET SOME TYPE OF HUGE DISCOUNT
3) I AM ALSO TIRED OF HEARING “I AM BUYING A BLUETOOTH, PHN, AND CAR CHARGER AND YOU SAYING YOU CANT GIVE ME A DISCOUNT?!” NO WE CANT GIVE YOU A DISCOUNT GOING BACK 2 WAL MART…YOU CAN SPEND $ 5000 AT WAL MART AND NOT GET ANY TYPE OF SPECIAL DISCOUNT BUT SINCE YOUR SPENDING A COUPLE OF $ 100 YOU WANT A DISCOUNT. 4) NONE OF THE “BIG 3″ CO. MAKE PHNS!!!5)DONT PAY BILL @ STORE WITH CHECK
I love helping customers dont get me wrong its just that customers have to understand is that we are really there to sale, but dont mind helping in other areas including bill issues, and gen. qstions but cust care is avail. for issues, customers complain and dont look it at from other viewpoints….a pet peeve i have is customers buy blackberrys but dont want anytype of data plan…it defeats the purpose of getting a blackberry same goes for palm devices i.e. treo, when a customer buys a pda device with no data plan such as the internet or even text messaging that tells me that the customer just want to keep up with the jones…a customer is better off getting a entry level flip phn lol…there is one cell phn co. that has technicians at some of their locations that fix phns at the location…when customers come in to get it fix a lot of times the co. have to replace the phn which means that have to order it which takes 3-5 days other comps. doesnt do that,but customers still complain
CUSTOMER SERVICE= ACCEPTS ALL TYPES OF PAYMENT BESIDES CASH, BILLING ISSUES, BILLING CREDITS, QUESTIONS ABOUT ACCOUNT
STORE= SALES, QUESTIONS ABOUT WIRELESS PRODUCTS, ACCEPTS PAYMENTS BUT ITS RIDICULOUS THAT CUSTOMERS MAKE PAYMENTS WITH A CHECK AND COMPLAIN ABOUT WAITING IN LINE EVEN THOUGH THEY CAN MAKE THAT SAME PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE IN THE COMFORT OF THEIR OWN HOME
Just to let you guys know I am not mad I’m just trying to understand wireless customers. If you came to my store you wouldnt think I would be upset or mad at customers. Felix C, you’re right wireless providers do have some input but they are not the manufactuer. I actually worked for AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint and received the same angry customers so its across the board. As I said I am not venting out I’m just trying to understand angry wireless customers.

I know that from personal experience that it is frustrating to end up at the store thinking that you can benefit from some “sale price” and be told that it does not apply to you. Unfortunately we are then required to take what we are given since we are in need. Good Lord. I personally get angry and begin to yell at the person to whom I am dealing with but after venting I do make a point to tell that individual that I am sorry to take it out on them I realize that it is not their fault. Most folks want what they want when they want it and believe that everyone is at their service period. I am sorry you feel this way and that you have not had a good experience in a long time. I hope that raving and venting here has done you some good.

1. This isn’t a question, so much as a rant. Disable CAPSLOCK, learn English.
2. The carriers don’t make the phones, but have a significant influence over their design. Ever wonder why Samsung phones on Verizon all have the same interface? It’s because Verizon told them to – and they told them to cripple the software.
3. Some people want a BlackBerry, but never use the data features, especially now that RIM is aiming the Pearl downmarket. They want a QWERTY keyboard. It’s not ‘defeating the purpose’.
4. So many customer complaints? You must work for Sprint or Verizon!
ouch .. sounds like ya had a bad day! been there done that working customer care for 3 years now. I hear it too!!! I know I have been with you for 4 years and I lost my phone I want a deal on a new one .. yeah I know I got an upgrade 3 weeks ago that’s the one that was lost… what do you mean I can buy a phone at full price *sigh* You are right .. hey try to trouble shoot a phone when they are on it .. and the customers screaming this is my only phone. Would you take your car to the mechanic and expect them to fix it when your driving it?? noooooooooooooooo way! LOL The walmart analogy is great though and your so right!
Take a deep breath .. step back and remember the customers are mad at the provider .. YOU just happen to be in front of them so they vent.
Alot of people are still technology afraid they are terrified to pay the bill over the phone or Internet .. someone may hack into their info ya know! Even though we assure them the site or speaking with a rep is secure, they just don’t trust it and would rather wait in line … and then complain!
I’m lucky I have a great bunch of teammates that we can vent to each other. You can vent to me anytime … just email me direct! We can commiserate and trade horror stories!
I understand. Because customers don’t get that if a problem comes up on the phone they are supposed to go to the provider or company. Not really the place they buy it from when they know the place is just a authorized dealer. It gets under my skin sometimes.lol
