What’s the best way to keep road grim off painted rims?

Question by spanishfly: What’s the best way to keep road grim off painted rims?

I have a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600 Blue and white with of coarse blue painted rims. With about a couple of hundred miles road grim is your worst enemy on your rear tire (front just gets a little dusty). What’s the best way to keep road grim off your rear painted rim “TURTLE WAX” If so whats the best name brand to use?
I used soap and water to clean it off with a plastic scrubber? Im wondering how to prevent grim from sticking on?

I have a tank and some of those small carp that eat road grim and put the rim in there and let it soak while the carp eat the grim off.
