I’ve looked up the word tube to see that one of its meanings is “a rubber tube filled with air that is inside a tyre” or to “use an inner tube for floating on a river for fun”. As far as language is concerned, is there an explanation for the term of “you tube”? Thanks.

Television sets (the non plasma ones) are made of cathode ray tubes that shoots electrons that creates the colors that make up images on the TV screen. Hence, that’s where the tube comes from. “You” refers from the fact that the video came from you.
