Car bras are a detachable front covers used to protect the grill and hood of your car. Also known as a bonnet, bras for cars is created in many different styles using many different materials to avoid scratching the car finish.

Because it serves as protection, it is excellent in blocking bug splatters and dings that are often a consequence of falling debris. It denies entry to airborne insects which love to litter around the hood surface.

In most cases, the material used for a car bra is thick enough to prevent damage resulting from loose gravel being skidded up by car tires. During long road trip, a car bra prevents damage to the car paint. Even your car’s headlights and parking lights benefit from car bras.

A bra for cars protects such lights from damage caused by flying rocks and pebbles on the road. Besides protection, safety is another benefit you can get from having a car bra. One famous manufacturer, Colgan car bra, once said that a car bra accords a measure of safety when you are driving, especially in the evening.

A front end car bra helps you to see more clearly because the bra protects your headlights from being covered with road debris. Also, it provides additional protection by keeping things from being stuck to the car hood.

Colgan car bra manufacturer believes that you can save money. Car bras are designed to protect your car hood and car grill, as well as your bumper from any damage. In addition, even when you start using it, you may not see its importance, but in the long run; you will feel that it adds value to your car by keeping the car paint always new looking.

During trade-ins or when you decide to sell your car, you can ask for more money because the front side of your car has preserved its beauty. Bras for cars make a good and stylish car accessory. Most bras fit on almost any type of car.

There is also a custom car bra to fit your style and fashion taste. You can choose your color-either a solid or a combination of different colors. You can even provide an elegant look on your car with a sleek black car bra.

Attaching car bras is easy. In many models, the bra comes with simple hooks that make it possible and convenient to secure the bra along the car grill and bumper, and under the front fenders. There is also magnetized material which sticks to the metal of the car hood and grill, thereby, securing the bra from its proper place.

All bras for cars are removable for cleaning and replacement. The attaching and detaching of a car bra is easy. However, it requires few things for its care. For example, it is advisable never leave the bra on the front end when it is wet

Observe the seams of the car bras. The seams are the first to show damage. You can use soft felt squares on any edge where there are seams touching the metal. Routine driving can cause the chassis to flex and cause substantial bra rubbing on the hood.

If you were running the car tyre on a Rocket in the Uk and had an accident the police investigated I’d say you’d run a very high risk of being uninsured. The tyre simply isn’t designed or approved for use on the machine. Strikes me your video logs are an attempt to justify warped logic. The thing simply won’t handle as Triumph intended with that piece of rubber on the rear.

  2. dkjohannes says:

@RiderRocketman Yep, unfortunately now we have to listen to the other side complaining that they scuff the sidewalls when cornering hard. It turns out they are running 25psi in them and the bulging sidewall grazes the pavement. The doubting Thomas’ are every where and can’t seem to keep the comments to themselves. Your vid was posted on R3Owners.net , you should stop bye if you haven’t done so already.

  3. RiderRocketman says:

@dkjohannes Very right. When I had a Pirelli Diablo on the rear of my Rocket, it lasted about 3000 miles. My car tires have always exceeded 10,000 miles. Car tires handle fine. They just have different characteristics and need more effort to corner than round tires.

  4. dkjohannes says:

All you critics out there have never ridden a car tire let alone a Darkside R3. Until you do, keep your traps shut and mind your business. If it didn’t work well with our 800lb bikes, we wouldn’t do it. 150ft lbs of torque turns a bike tire into grease and they have to be replaced in 6000 miles or less. A good car tire lasts 4 times longer and cost half as much. And they handle just fine.

  5. Redoralive says:

Any tyre can corner, bike tyres just do it better.

P.S. Uk statistics, crusier/tourers have less accidents, tend to be older more mature riders, higher insurance payouts due to vehicle cost. Flat tyres would give better braking / acceleration but poorer cornering. Only suitable for big crusiers which already have fat rear tyres.

  6. RiderRocketman says:

@mark675 Mark, I race a 675 so I understand how bikes corner. I’ve seen many, many more sport bikers bite it than cruiser riders. Bikes are all just rides, mate, and we’re all Brothers so won’t you make kind comments for once? We ride because we enjoy bikes and our fellow riders. If you’re riding for other reasons then you might want to look at what’s really important in life. Anyways, if you payed any attention to the video, it wasn’t my bike that lost it. My Rocket goes around corners great!

  7. mark675 says:

@neilyoungster thanks! u cruiser riders are more ‘organ donors’ than sport bike riders cus u cant ride and cant make the bike go round bends even if you wanted to! lol
thats why u resort to fitting car tyres in a desperate attempt to make them handle! get a proper bike in the first place.. job done

  8. neilyoungster says:

@mark675 Wow, what a command of the english language. Awesome. Thanks for riding a Daytona. Definitely not a POS. At least in the UK, anyway… Figured you were an organ donor. I’ll take my “tank” thanks. See ya.

  9. mark675 says:

@neilyoungster its my daughters quad and id rather have it than ur fuckin tractor Suzuki VL1500LC !! its probably faster too! lol
ive got a triumph daytona 675 so dont reckon u can call that a pos can u! lol
how is wheelying that quad dangerous anyway? i was doing about 2 mph and can reach the floor piece of piss if it went to flip? dont talk about something u know fuck all about, dumb cunt!

  10. neilyoungster says:

@mark675 You know what’s really dumb? Doing wheelies on a POS little quad with a child on it. Now THAT’S as you say it “Fuckin” dumb.

  11. klauskarlkraus says:

car tires are not for cornering on a bike

  12. mark675 says:

    yeah course it does,
ill get onto triumph for you and ask them what theyre playin at puttin bike tyres on a bike, and maybe motogp riders will catch onto it and start realising how much more handling and grip they can get with a car tyre, who cares if you can build an engine, you probably cant ride round bends for shit so u wouldnt know the difference

  13. Dragothalas says:

Dude, this is the last time I’m saying it, I’ve ridden for 20 years, I can take apart and rebuild my own engines, and I’ve ridden both “standard” and darkside tires. Have you ever ridden a darkside? If not then you’re just a blind guy shouting that colors don’t exist. Anything you think you know about tire dynamics goes out the window when you actually RIDE it!

  14. mark675 says:

thats the biggest load of shit ive ever heard! car tyres are made to sit flat on the road not lean!! so no good on bikes mate!

  15. Dragothalas says:

Manufacturers don’t use em because if some chump is buying a $200+ tire every 10k miles, why in hell would they want you to buy a $100 tire every 30k?

  16. hal101 says:

Not true there buddy. Not everybody rides a crotch rocket or a bike that can lean that far to begin with. My bike is a 1600cc cruiser and my floorboards drag at about 20 deg lean ANYWAY. So yes I ride safer and corner better with a car tire, because the sidewall actually HELPS traction at that low lean. Plus I can ride through gravel, snow, and grass. And the majority of darksiders don’t do it cause it’s cheap. Ever rode one? Or are you just speculating?

  17. haggis95 says:

That’s because you don’t know how to corner properly, or you ride a trike, or you ride like you are riding a trike! Car tires a bullshit on bikes – if they weren’t cheaper no-one would use them.

  18. mark675 says:

Dumb fuckin yanks! why dont bike manufacturers use them if theyre that good?? wrong profile for a start! unbelievable stupidity

  19. Dragothalas says:

I corner faster, safer, and more confidently with a car tire – if you haven’t run one on your bike, then don’t pretend to know what you’re talking about.

  20. LGenVision says:

Car tires look cool on bike, but still it is good not to use them because they really sucks on corners.

  21. cardodoc2 says:

    what a dumbass

  22. Ridgid says:

Good deal.I assume the Supercharger had alot to do with it.I was looking at the Albrex Turbo but with 50% more power and a couple of Margaritas could be a deadly mix for me..lol.Ride Safe

  23. RiderRocketman says:

The rear Yokohama is doing fine. I have about 6000 miles on it and tread depth looks like it will last to at least 13000 miles. Tire life was never a big concern since I got 8000 to 12000 miles on the stock Metzeler. It’s the traction benefits that have me running the performance car tires. Only con is that cornering aggressively requires more countersteering effort so it isn’t the best for sport riding but will work as you can see by my other Rocket videos.

  24. Ridgid says:

RR..How does the rear tire work out…. any pros and cons ..?? I’m still running Metzeler ME880 Marathon 240/50 R16 on the back of mine so far not as much wear as other have. Some are replacing it at 3500 miles too soon IMO.

  25. RiderRocketman says:

You guys have to pay closer attention. Read the captions. I lost my camera, not the bike. You can see me riding off when the camera settles on the pavement. GOTCHA! Damn funny if ya ask me. You want to see how the car tire really performs? Check out my three Rocket Play videos in my video list.
