The 2010 Vw Passat Has A Host Of Safety Features
The new 2010 Volkswagen Passat focuses on packing as much comfort and dependablity into a small car as possible, but it also features plenty of safety features. All styles of the Passat feature an Anti-Lock Braking System, which helps prevent the brakes from locking and causing the vehicle to slide. The front end has been designed to be crash optimized, with shock absorbing pads and properly placed crumple zones to protect the driver during front end collisions.
All 2010 Passats come standard with 6 airbags, located around the vehicle to optimally protect every passenger. Customers can also upgrade the airbag system to add two additional airbags, for extra safety in case of a crash. Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution is a newer feature that VW has added to this car. EBD allows the vehicle to add extra braking power to any wheel, allowing for a more controlled braking experience. If you slam on your brakes hard to avoid hitting another car, more weight and pressure is pushed onto the front brakes. The EBD system allows the car to add extra power to the front brakes to compensate, therefore avoiding sliding or loss of power.
This car also features a host of more minor, but still important, safety features. Like many new cars, this one features a built in tire pressure sensor, allowing the driver to monitor tire pressure electronically from inside the vehicle. Safety belts, shatter resistant glass, and all of the other regular safety features are also included in all packages. For anyone concerned about the safety of the vehicle they drive, the Passat has enough safety features to protect the driver and passengers during any situation.

Convertibles have a unique appeal them. There are some consumers out there who won’t settle for anything less than driving behind the wheel of a convertible. The biggest challenge that the auto industry has had over the years, is making a convertible safe to drive. Rollover accidents have always been a concern for the car, while manufacturers have taken steps to improve the performance of convertibles by using innovated design features, stronger materials and adding safety features found in hardtops.
Here are some of the important features found in the safer convertibles:
– In a hardtop car design, the roof plays an important part in a collision by preventing the body of the car from twisting or flexing; in convertibles the body and floor are specially designed to absorb collision shock.
– They are now being designed with a strong A-pillar that surrounds the windshield and it’s designed as a roll bar to protect the front occupants.
– They have a reinforced body especially the floor, which makes the car heavier and the body is stiffer. It’s easier to handle and it also reduces rattles and squeaks.
– There is a pop-up rear roll bar on some models that protects both the front and back seat occupants.
– Antilock brakes, traction control, adaptive headlights, and stability control are all important safety features and usually come on all models.
– Front and side crash test are performed by the National Highway Safety Administration.
The first convertible to ever receive a five star rating by the National Highway Safety Administration was the 2008 Ford Mustang. It got five stars in every category including front-impact driver safety, side-impact driver safety, side impact driver safety, side-impact rear passenger safety, and low likelihood of a rollover.
Here is a list of the 2008 safest convertibles, which offer some of the greatest options a car can offer.
The Lexus SC convertible
-Has front and side airbags, runs on flat tires, has a theft deterrent system, antilock brakes, three point seat belt restraints, side impact door beams and tire pressure sensors.
The Saab 9-3 convertible
-Has sharp handling, a 210 horsepower engine, great seats, and a large turning radius.
The Volvo C70 convertible
-Is spacious, has an elegant interior and a retractable hardtop, along with other safety features.
The Ford Mustang convertible
-Has a unique style to it that is fresh with the interior holding great eye appeal.
The Chrysler Sebring
-Has a competitive price, a beautiful design, a retractable hardtop or a traditional cloth top.
When owning a convertible, your driving days do get a lot brighter.

I have an ’06 Toyota, so this might be a little different. First, get the tires to the pressure where you want them. Then, once they’re there, press the reset button (on the underside of the dash, between the steering wheel and the brake pedal).
That should do it for you.
First two answers are strike one and two….Open the glove box and feel on the left side about half way down. The trim on the left will go horizontal, and in the middle of that space is the switch. To reset the light, it is very important to:
1. Set the pressures.
2. Press the button until the light goes out, and then release the button. (If the light is off, continue to step 3.)
3. Press and hold the button again, until the tire pressure light blinks 3 times and goes out.
4. LEAVE THE IGNITION ON WITHOUT STARTING THE CAR UNINTERRUPTED FOR 10 MINUTES!!!
It WILL NOT reset properly unless you follow all steps!!
Good luck and God Bless!
